Walking in I'm greated by a young woman in her 20s or 30s and she said "could yall do me a favor and seat yourselfs over on the right side of the building for me" considering I was reading reviews and was told this was a seat yourself type restruant that was a little throwing and what's worse is I was with my grandparents one of whom needs a cane to get around , upon sitting at our table which was kind of surrounded by other people which is a little uncomfortable given how close quarters the restruant is I was greeted by silver ware that was hastily and badly wrapped by a basic paper napkin that looks like it came out of a dispense and had been used previously the server was fast to come over and take our drink orders and was very polite she was also a superstar at keeping them filled all though the soda doesn't quite taste like soda , it taste more like it's offbrand little cousin they should really refill the machines flavors , then the food came and as the reviews said before me the mashed potatoes were bad but they weren't awful the taste was good it just that it felt more like I was eating grits , I also had the Mac & cheese even though their appearance was a little smudged they tasted amazing and we're exceptionally cheesy ,and for my final piece of the puzzle I got their chicken fingers that were fairly big and tasted great they had a nice crunch and flavor and cake out warm like the rest of the food. All in all it was a nice restruant and I wouldn't bee too scared of the rating and while it definitely wasn't a five star experience it definitely wasn't a 2 1/2 star restruant which is where it's rating was at the time of this review

If I could give them advice to improve it would be to truly let people seat themselves and maybe hire another waiter and maybe be more sanitary about your silverware

    Observations: (breakfast only)
    Seat-yourself restaurant
Clean booths, tables and dining area
Basic menu with a few Greek items thrown in
    Moderately friendly servers
    Hot food hot/cold food cold
    No frills
The hash browns, bacon & eggs are basic but good
    Size of portions are large
PRICES are exceptionally low (good for large families on a tight budget)
    Kitchen appeared clean each time
    Clean bathrooms
    Family friendly

    Negatives: (breakfast only)
No music- awkwardly silent in the dining area
Fox News (silenced) on the TV
No ambiance and lack of decor
Much of their menu is "brown" and "fried"
Quality of food products is on the cheap side
    Coffee is very cheap quality
Service is inconsistent (the service improves the more the servers begin to recognize you returning)
Biscuits & gravy are a disappointment (box gravy)

    Conclusion:
I'm torn having to rate this restaurant because if you are southern & on a strict budget, this place will fit your needs (hence so many 5 stars). It has all the basics -  inexpensive products cooked well in a clean atmosphere with DIRT CHEAP PRICES. The two of us can get a freshly cooked full breakfast with OJ and coffee for $13. ??!?!  Even the fast food restaurants can't compete with this. That being said, there's no room for piped in music, higher standards of service (you get what you pay for!) or any frills. For a non-brand local family restaurant in the south I can understand why they stay in business. I'd certainly feel more safe eating here than a fast food restaurant but not if I'm looking for an elevated dining experience.

Pretty avg. restaurant. Food wasn't bad at all, just didn't stand out.  Server was friendly.  Took a while to get breakfast (about 40 min or do).  The bathroom was a little dingy.

First time here, heard great thing but wasn't impressed. Came in about 10am on a Sunday. It is a seat yourself restuarant, there was no wait and open tables but most were not bused, we sat at the only available booth. Waitress walked past us several times without acknowledgement. After we ordered the wait time for our food was very very long. We noticed that others around us had to wait just as long so it wasn't just us. Coffee is a small serving and not very good. Food was decent, nothing spectacular and I could have made the same thing twice at home in the same time it took to get our food. Overall time here was 1.5 to 2 hours. This is 100% not acceptable for a family with 2 small kids.
I can't say I'll be adding this place to our list of places to eat again.
